No time to sew, so one just thinks about it — constantly.

Daisy says, I'm tired too. Zzz...

It seems like ages since I’ve sewn anything, much less write about it. The parents are away, and everything has been left in my hands — thus the running about like a headless chicken and the no-sewing purgatory for a solid 10 days now. I’m not a morning person to begin with. And so, having to wake up at 5.45am every morning, going like the Duracell rabbit till 11pm, is really taking its toll on me. I almost fell asleep at the wheel on a couple of occasions.

Sewing withdrawal is in red-alert mode, and I’m dying for some free time (and energy!) to pick up the embroidery hoop that I put down 2 weeks ago. I’ve been meaning to rustle up a little scissors pad for my sewing machine. I find that putting down my fabric scissors gently — so as not to scratch the wood of the sewing machine table — is too time-consuming. To pretty up the pad, I’ve been deciding between simple freehand embroidery, or maybe applique. I’m just going to go with the flow on this one. No measuring or drawing of patterns. I’m just going to wing it, because this girl needs to sew! Now!
